29th Nov. The marina Los Gigantes

It is perfect weather for walking around the area 20-25 degrees a lot better than Scottish weather. There are impressive cliffs around the village and if you are brave and/or stupid you can take some adventurous walks. I have watched, with beer in hand from a marina cafĂ©, the helicopter and rescue teams try to get to people stuck on these cliffs in the dark, not funny for them. But from my vantage point on the cliff a similar view again apologies just the phone camera.

28th Nov. The village of Los Gigantes

We went for a stroll today around the higher areas of Los Gigantes where you get this view of the village. It is a great place to stand and watch as always something going on. A view that I never tire of enjoying.

27th Nov. Morning walk view

I always go for an early morning walk around an hour, fuzzy head permitting and one of the great views is looking down onto fisherman so bay and out to sea. Apologies for photo quality crap phone.

27th Nov. The view from the apartment

Puerto Santiago is a favourite of ours. It is nice to wake up to a blue sky and heat. T-shirt and shorts for my morning walk, yahoo!

26thNov. The flight

Hi today is the start of our last holiday of the year. Crap photo but this is Tenerife through a weather beaten plane window.

25th Nov'15 Surprise visitor Great Spotted Woodpecker

I apologise for the quality of the photo but it was a quick one off and the bird flew off almost immediately. Just a picture of a great spotted woodpecker you might say and nearby they are not the rarest of birds but having lived here for around 30 years this is the first one that I have spotted in our garden so deserves to be a memory and snap of the day. Coincidentally last week we had our first ever grey squirrel in the garden. We live beside the sea and have only a few trees nearby so these are not expected in our garden but welcome all the same.

24th Nov'15 The weir on the River Ayr at Stair

It was a very mixed weather day, mostly rain and strong winds with a brief burst of sunshine when I set off for lunch with a friend. On my journey I took this snap of the river Ayr at the weir beside Stair. As you can see the water is high and coloured. No doubt some salmon will still come through but none leapt the weir whilst I was there.

23rd Nov'15 Peek a boo

Another quirky snap, this time of my granddaughters at the play area in Troon for the Wintertainment day.

22nd Nov'15 Ailsa Craig & the seagull

A quirky shot of Ailsa Craig taken from the Ballast bank in Troon. Weather good today.

21st Nov'15. Troon Marina

I was out for a walk this morning on a crisp early winters day, a much appreciated cold but dry morning after a fortnight of high winds and heavy rain. The marina looked rather full of boats but the weather dictates. A very nice place to be at this time of the year. A few quid invested in these boats.

20th Nov' 15. Dark & Light storm gathering Irvine Bay

This snap looks like it has had some photo editing but I can assure you the contrasting light and shade are exactly as the camera caught it. A period of very stormy weather over Irvine bay.
